Zion is Taking the E100 Challenge!
February 4, 2012
Mark your calendars for Feb 20 as we begin our journey through the Essential 100! In about 10 minutes a day, the E100 Challenge takes you through 100 carefully selected short Bible passages – 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament – so you can see the big picture of God’s Word, and form a daily Bible reading habit in the process. Easy to follow and done on your own time, it’s designed with maximum flexibility for busy lives. Get a “through the Bible” experience – without having to read through the whole Bible! So take 10 of those minutes that you’re “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”…and catch up with God instead! Join your friends at Zion and take the Challenge!
Souper Bowl of Caring – Feb 4 and 5
January 24, 2012
On the weekend of Feb 4 and 5, the youth of Zion will be collecting donations of food in connection with the Souper Bowl of Caring – please bring donations in and help them out!
More than 20 years ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group: “Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that day, more than $60 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving.

Simply Giving – Electronic Offering Option
December 20, 2011
In this season of gift giving to family, friends, and those less fortunate, we hope you will also consider your gift to Zion Lutheran. It is through the donations of every individual and family in the congregation that we are able to carry on our work. To help us achieve a more consistent level of funding, we encourage you to use electronic giving for your regular offerings. This also eliminates the need for you to be bothered with donation envelopes, and your elections can be modified at any time. You can access the form here. Please fill out the form and return it to the Church Office. You can also pick up a form in the Gathering Place. Feel free to call the office with any questions you might have.
